Sure, maybe here in Sokolov we're a bit rougher around the edges than folks in other towns.
A bit louder, more straight-talking—
But this is who we are.
We grew up with excavators and bucket-wheel giants behind our backs, fell asleep to the screeching and rumbling of the mines at night.
Many of us have worked in the pits—or still do.
Our fathers and grandfathers were there too.
Our town is built on a coal seam.
Coal was, is, and always will be a part of life here.
And that shaped us.
It made us honest people who know how to have fun, think for themselves, look ahead, and keep moving forward.
We don't just settle for what's around us—we build our town, we are our town.
And we're proud of Sokolov, our coal, and our mines.

“The Secret of the Perfect Pour”
Zdař Bůh! (Good luck and blessings underground!) Plzeňský Prazdroj, a.s. has been putting a lot of focus on beer quality in recent years. They run training programs for bartenders, teaching them how to pour beer the right way. At DOLE V DOLE, we do our best to take part in as many of these trainings as possible—because we know how important it is to learn directly from the masters.
